Lollapalooza 2025: Day 4 Recap

By the time Day 4 rolled around, I was beyond exhausted. Because I was very slow to get out of bed and get ready, I didn't make it to Grant Park until about 4 PM. While I missed the first few hours of performances, I made it to the Press Lounge just in time for happy hour, which I had missed the past three days.

Press Lounge Perks

Everyday in the Press Lounge, they served food (while supplies lasted), and I've managed to arrive right as they ran out. Today, though, I was in line the second it hit 4PM. They served Chicken Shawarma, which I had never had before. I am a very picky eater, meaning I typically avoid trying new things at all costs. However, it was almost dinner time and I hadn't eaten anything all day, so I didn't have much room to be picky. To my surprise, I was actually quite pleased with the Shawarma, and I would gladly eat it again.

Since my first set wasn't until about 7 PM, I took advantage of the work tent in the lounge. Because I had a media pass, I was permitted to bring my laptop into the festival, which made taking notes and blogging in real time much more convenient. The work tent is an enclosed area with WiFi, A/C, tables, and outlets so you could charge any electronics as needed. I didn't get much work done due to my overall excitement of being at the festival, but having the resources available was very convenient.

Performances

Following the same theme as the previous day, I only saw two performances on Sunday: The Marías and Sabrina Carpenter.

On my way to see The Marías (7:00 - 8:00, Bud Light), I stopped at Beat Kitchen again and grabbed another jumbo slice of pizza, before returning to my new favorite spot -- the small, grassy hill in between the Tito's and Bud Light stages -- and waiting for the set to begin.

I started listening to The Marías about six or seven months ago, but seeing them live made me a superfan almost immediately. I could go on forever about how beautiful María Zardoya's voice is, and how it somehow sounds even better live. Their set was amazing, and as soon as I get the chance, I will be seeing The Marías again on tour.

After The Marías ended, I made my way towards the other side of the park for one of the most anticipated performances of the weekend: Sabrina Carpenter (8:45 - 10, T-Mobile). Since I've seen Sabrina live before, I was not very concerned with where I ended up in the crowd. Still, I wasn't prepared for how many people would be there before her set began.

Sabrina is, and always has been, and incredible performer. Not only does she have a beautiful voice, but she carries herself in a way that reflects in her art. She exudes such confidence that it's impossible to look away when she performs. Every minute of her show was perfectly executed, and I was very lucky to see her perform live again. About halfway through her set, she brought out Earth, Wind & Fire as special guests, and together they performed "Let's Groove" and "September". The crowd was absolutely buzzing with joy and nostalgia when Earth, Wind & Fire joined Sabrina on stage, making her performance was one of the most memorable of the festival, and the perfect way to end the weekend.
