Tarot One at A Time PT. 3

Welcome back to my tarot learning series! This week’s sky is restless, a Full Beaver Supermoon in Scorpio, Uranus sliding back into Taurus, and Mercury about to turn retrograde. Translation: emotions, finances, and communication are in a weird push-pull. Perfect timing for a spread about choice, willpower, and balance.

This week’s cards, The Lovers, The Chariot, and Strength, mirror that energy. They ask what happens, how we feel, what we want to put out, and what we actually do to stop syncing up. When we try to move through change but keep second-guessing which direction’s actually ours.

(Quick note: upright means the card appears straight; reversed means it appears upside down.)

THE LOVERS VI

ree

Card Description: There’s a woman and a male figure. She looks up at the alignment, at God, as he stares at her. They are surrounded by fruit trees and divinity, yet she has a snake hovering over her right shoulder. She is seamlessly unaware of both the snake and the man, almost as if they reflect one another. I reference the Rider–Waite deck, but I also like to add my own definition based on how I interpret the card.

Upright: Despite distractions, you are thinking straight. You are aligned and smart. Despite the bad things around you, you will overcome. Love triumphs through true connection.

Relationships: The Lovers guides both people to put in genuine effort. If both are on the same page, alignment is natural and effortless. Devotion, understanding, and trust grow.

Finances: Partnerships or projects that match your true passion can increase your resources in ways that reflect your values and your truth.

Self-Growth: You are exactly where you should be. Love is transformative. Despite the trials you have been through, your parts are aligned, your truth is clear, and you are fully aware of who you are.

Reversed: This is misalignment, confusion, distractions, temporary needs, and determining long-term losses. The Lovers reversed can transform into Devil energy—your object of desire or your partnership becomes a weight that restricts freedom, traps focus, or limits growth.

Relationships: If both parties are not on the same page, one can feel used while the other is lost. Devotion becomes imbalance, and effort is uneven.

Finances: Deceit or weak partnerships can undermine plans. Short-term gains may hide long-term instability.

Self-Growth: You are having a hard time finding your truth. You may want something more because of others’ expectations. Without alignment between selves, you will never fully know yourself.

THE CHARIOT VII

ree

Card Description: He’s on a chariot, literally driving forward. Two different beasts pull him, yet he doesn’t hold a harness to guide them. He holds one wand, representing fire in traditional tarot—passion, motivation, fiery commitment. He is moving toward his goals through sheer determination. The beasts only respond if his desire is real, if he’s aligned with his true self. If not, progress stalls. The Chariot combines the Fool’s journey with the Magician’s will: what he wills is done, if he is truly aligned.

Upright: Your goal is coming. Whatever you’ve been working toward, it’s on its way. This is the card of commitment meeting action.

Relationships: Love demands commitment and discipline. You have to actively shape the dynamic, work with what’s in front of you, and make the “variable”—the other person, the connection—appealing so the outcome is strong and long-lasting. Alignment and intentionality are key; this isn’t passive love.

Finances: Drive and determination pay off. Your assertive, focused energy in money matters brings reward. Whatever effort you’ve put in aligns with results. Success is near if you stay focused.

Self-Growth: Taking control of your life might feel new, but you aren’t scared. Change is happening, and your willpower and confidence give you the power to succeed. You’re stepping into who you are fully.

Reversed: The beasts aren’t guided. Your will alone isn’t enough. Goals become nothing more than wishes. Progress, direction, and control slip away. Fear, indecision, or misalignment with your true self stops you.

Relationships: You don’t hold the power. The connection may fail despite effort. Harsh but true: indecision got you here. Accept what can’t be forced.

Finances: Don’t rush. Hasty choices bring losses. Be deliberate, patient, and treat every step with importance.

Self-Growth: You might feel behind, comparing yourself to others, but everyone’s journey is different. Lack of direction now is temporary; stay aligned, keep focus, and hang on.

STRENGTH VIII

ree

Card Description: There’s a woman, an infinity symbol hovering above her head—balance, endless alignment. She’s comforting the lion’s jaw, not just petting him. Our jaws hurt when new teeth come in, growth pains. She’s tending to the rough and the soft at the same time. Roses around her waist: passion, new beginnings. Strength is courage, yes, but it’s subjective, personal, internal. Chariot and Strength sit next to each other because they both show determination, but in different ways. Chariot is external, objective; Strength is internal, subjective. Your strength and my strength might look different, but both are real. She has power in her kindness, in her compassion, and that’s the lesson: power doesn’t always roar—it nurtures, it balances.

Upright: You have the compassion and patience to handle difficulties. Your inner strength supports growth, balance, and endurance.

Relationships: You can navigate negativity in a relationship. Both partners have the power to endure, and even through challenges, the connection can come out stronger. Compassion and understanding allow wounds to heal, and others who doubted your strength will be surprised.

Finances: Patience and careful attention guide financial outcomes. Steady, thoughtful actions endure challenges and lead to better results. This isn’t about rushing—it’s about consistent care and awareness.

Self-Growth: You are learning to show yourself compassion, recognize your growth pains, and treat yourself with care. You can navigate challenges without harsh self-criticism and build confidence from within.

Reversed: Lack of confidence in embodying your own kindness. Impatience, doubt, or skipping compassionate steps weakens your power. This reflects insecurity and misplaced notions of strength.

Relationships: Insecurity affects your connection. You might not be calm or compassionate enough, or your partner might not provide the care you need. Tensions can arise from unhealed wounds or unmet needs.

Finances: Be careful with spending and financial decisions. Impulsive choices or a lack of foresight can lead to losses. Reversed Strength warns against reckless behavior; patience and deliberation are essential.

Self-Growth: You may feel “I’m worthless” or struggle with internal doubt. Progress slows if your own negativity hinders growth. Reversed Strength asks you to nurture yourself and rebuild confidence in your compassion and judgment

That’s all for now. I’ll be breaking down the next three cards soon, so stay tuned!
